What is a Doula?
Doulas are an emotional, informational, and physical support person to pregnant women and their partner during the pregnancy and birthing experience. We come alongside the birthing mom and her partner as part of the birth team to help make their birth an amazing event to remember.
What does a Childbirth Educator do?
Similar to any other subject, there is information about childbirth that can benefit mom and her partner. You wouldn't wake up one morning and decide to go register for a marathon, you would train for months in advance to take on that feat. Childbirth is no different, it takes learning what all is involved, training you mind and body, and informing yourself and your partner with the facts so that a TRUE informed consent decision can be made.
